What age can a child start hula hoop classes?

From around age 5. HoopStar runs small live online groups for ages 4–18, grouped by age so the pace fits your child.

What level should a beginner start at?

Almost every child starts at Level 1, which builds keeping the hoop up on the waist. Children with some experience may start at Level 2.

What size hula hoop is best for a child?

A larger, slightly heavier hoop spins slower and is easier for beginners — roughly 28–30" for ages 4–6, 30–32" for 7–9, 32–34" for 10–12, and 34–36" for 13+.
